Samarkand SRK122M Light Blue / Sage Area Rug

Geometric medallions and stylized floral palmettes float across an open field, framed by a multi-layered geometric border and hand-knotted in India from wool. A light blue ground provides a soft, low-contrast backdrop for muted sage and ivory accents. The 1/4-inch wool pile is cropped low and firm, finished with short hand-tied fringe. Hand-Knotted in India: Tied one knot at a time. The process is slow and exacting, and the rug holds its pattern and structure for generations. 1/4-Inch Wool Pile: Cropped close so the geometric motifs stay sharp and legible. Pure wool feels firm yet resilient underfoot and gains depth and character the longer it lives in a home. Traditional Persian Pattern: Stylized palmettes and geometric medallions repeat in a balanced allover layout, enclosed by a classic multi-layered border. The structured design brings a sense of order and architectural grounding to a room. Light Blue and Sage Palette: A soft slate blue ground carries motifs in warm terracotta, sand, and cream with charcoal outlines. This mellowed pairing coordinates naturally with warm wood tones, leather upholstery, and antique brass or bronze hardware. Room Fit: The low profile and flat-woven fringe make this an ideal anchor for dining rooms, entryways, and high-traffic living areas. Rug Pad Recommended: Cushions the dense, hand-knotted foundation and protects the backing from friction against hard floors. Prevents sliding and helps the low pile wear evenly over time.
